Mabvuto is a founding member of Ashfield Resources (Z) Limited. Spanning over some twenty years, Mabvuto’s consulting experience has focused on financial modeling and analysis, institutional governance and restructuring, process improvement and strategic change assignments.

Mabvuto is an MBA-FINANCE finalist student at the Copperbelt University.


Among many other achievements, Mabvuto developed the Uniform Petroleum Pricing (UPP) Model that the Zambian Government is currently using across the country. He also developed the reigning uniform petroleum pricing mechanism that has thus far worked to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.


Mabvuto has since September 2010 served as the UPP Manager and is a team worker with excellent oral and written skills. He has also provided transaction advisory services to a diverse clientele.

Mpe is a Tax and Financial Accounting Specialist of Ashfield Resources and a member of the Board of Directors. He is a Fellow Certified Chartered Accountant with the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA-UK) and Zambia Institute of Accountants (ZICA). He joined the Company in 2010 as a Head Financial Services.


Mpe launched his career by joining major Accounting firms, such as PricweaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte, in 2002 and 2006 respectively. His experience is in the Audit/accounting, financial Advisory and taxation. He has serviced both Private and Public companies, Small and medium Sized Companies across industries.


Following that, he held a succession of senior positions at National Breweries Plc. and Clear Channel Independent Zambia Limited overseeing the FINANCE departments in Zambia, Malawi and Zimbabwe.

George K Kayawe Master Science (Chemical Engineering, B. of Science)


Mr. George K Kayawe holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering with a major in Petroleum and Gas Refining. He also holds a post graduate diploma in Combustion and Energy. Kayawe has considerable experience is carrying out industrial energy audits for various needs. He is also experienced in data gathering and analysis.

Kayawe has been in the petroleum energy sector for over 25 years. He worked for the Ministry of Energy and Water Development in the planning department for over 15 years were he participated in the crafting and roll out of many strategies in the Ministry before going into private consultancy after opting for early retirement.


Mr. Kayawe was part of the Ashfield Resources team that developed both the UPP Model and the UPP Mechanism that have been utilized by the MMEWD and the ERB since September 2011. As the UPP Chief Analyst, he is responsible, among other things, with the development of petroleum products flowcharts from the Tazama Fuel Terminal to various districts where there are ERB registered Filling Stations (i.e. energy balances that show Petroleum Product Flows).


Mr. Kayawe has been responsible for collection and analysis of the data from the filling stations, consolidation of the data and production of national reports, analysis of the reports, and field trips to periodically authenticate the work of the inspectors.


Phillip Njobvu is a chief accountant and a secretary of the board member of Ashfield Resources. He is a certified member of Zambia Institute of Accountants (ZICA) since 2010. He joined the Company in 2007 as a chief accountant.


Phillip Njobvu launched his career by joining major companies, such as Intermarket Banking Corporation Zambia Limited, from 2005 to 2006 and Standard Chartered Bank Plc, from 1996 to 2003. His experience is in the accounting and banking.
